FDC Prep is a program designed for dancers seeking an exceptional dance education without the time or financial commitment of being on a competitive team. Our goal is to cultivate within each dancer a joy and love for dance while still working towards outstanding technique and performance.
FDCP bridges the gap between dancing recreationally and dancing competitively. While Prep dancers do not compete, there are still requirements in class hours and performances that each member of this program must adhere to if they wish to participate.
Prep dancers will take ballet, tap, jazz & acro with the same focus on technique and performance that our competition dancers receive. Dancers are required to take ballet and highly encouraged to take all the other classes to help better prepare them for the competition requirements.
Dancers are required to wear a leotard (any color or style), skin-colored tights, and canvas ballet shoes that match the color of their tights. Dancers' hair should be pulled back into a low ballet bun.

Dancers are required to wear all black, form fitting clothing. They can wear any variation of all black they would like (sports bra, crop top, leotard, leggings, shorts, etc.). Both of these classes are done barefooted. Dancers’ hair needs to be pulled back securely away from their face.
